With the response from the first album we were left with no choice but to bring Gein And The Graverobbers second album “Songs In Key Of Evil” back from the grave. This 13-song horror surf masterpiece was originally released in 2002 and is now available on vinyl for the first time ever! This is the second release in our new series we call the “Super Exclusive Series” meaning it is limited to a very specific hand-numbered amount. In this case there were 100 copies pressed, with only about 85 copies available for public sale. This album marks some progression in the band’s tone and performance as they stepped into a professional recording studio to track this versus Hang Ten’s more raw (and beautifully fitting) DIY production. The tones are authentic, crisp, and sound big. As a whole, this album most clearly portrays an influence of traditional surf while still, of course, retaining a dark element overcasting the tracks from start to finish. From a more surf roots track like “The Devil’s Skin” to the grim anthem “M” to the fast punk rock “A Night On Route 666” you have an album that is wholesome, unique and downright creepy throughout. Download card included!
